Help with laptop sound and headphone jack please

Hi,
I want to use my S8 and connect speakers to headphone jack of the laptop.

please can someone tell me how I do this?

I have Asus windows 10 laptop.

it was working if I select the Realtek laptop soundcard but then I can’t cue with the headphones

when I selected the S8 soundcard the music doesn’t play out if laptop.

I don’t have the option to get any other cables at the mo other than a small headphone jack so cannot connect it to S8

Since the S8 is an external audio interface, you would need to choose that as you audio device, hook the speakers and headphones to that, there is really not a way to do what you want with the limited capabilities and connections available on the laptop... gonna need proper cables

 

Ahh.. that’s crazy.

It’s mad that I could dj a set and play live on internet radio and put my headphone jack into laptop and it would work (all be it with latency a d it’s not an option).

I know the S8 is sending a signal into my laptop - is there no way I can get this to play out of the headphone jack of laptop ?

 

It depends, what exactly you want to do with all signals. And also, whether you are on Win or Apple. Try describe what you aim for...

And my question is, why do you want plug headphones to PC and not S8.....

 

I was DJing with a bunch of friends whilst on holiday and only had certain wires with me..

They were having a silent disco and needed the headphone jack of my laptop.

All worked out in end
