    hi,

my apologies if this is obvious and stupid..

i am running traktor pro with an audio 4 dj and a vci-100 on mac.

at the top right of the vci-100 there is 3 small black knobs as you know.

    at the moment..

'monitor level' (left) is controlling 'main' on the top centre of the traktor screen.

'monitor level' (right) is controlling 'vol' on the top centre of the traktor screen.

'monitor select' is controlling 'mix' on the top centre of the traktor screen.

the above doesn't seem to be right.

in preferences 'output routing' is set like this:

    'output monitor'
    L 1: audio 4 dj out 0
    R 2: audio 4 dj out 1

    'output master'
    L 3: audio 4 dj out 2
    R 4: audio 4 dj out 3

i know there is a simple problem occurring here but i just cant see it. lol

i just want to be able use the vci in a normal dj mixer way. ie, hit the headphone 'cue' and i can preview the track i want to bring in, without it boshing into the mix (even when the vol fader is down).

also, coming out of the audio 4 i have my phono cable coming out "channel b" "out 3/4" and then the above settings ive already mentioned..

any advice would be really appreciated!

Well... your answer is in yoru questioon... set Monitor outputs to Audio 4 out 2 and 3 and Master output to Audio4 out 0 and 1 and you'll have the result you want.

thanks.. will give that a try later.

does this mapping to the vci seem right thou?

'monitor level' (left knob) is controlling 'main' on the top centre of the traktor screen.

'monitor level' (right knob) is controlling 'vol' on the top centre of the traktor screen.

'monitor select' is controlling 'mix' on the top centre of the traktor screen.

correct my interpretation of the following controls in traktor (top centre of interface) if im wrong..

'main' - traktors master out volume

'vol' - headphone output cue volume

'mix' - blend of master out and cue volume

    thanks!
