Here come the warm posts

I've been saying this for quite some time! Dubstep (as I know it) is the Metal of electronic music.

 

...ah, I didn't know, I'm not involved with the club scene, that's why I used an "?". But I haven't heard an NI dubstep demo in quite a while, so I thought it must be dead...

 

We keep wishing it would be...but moody pad bangers keep bringing it back to life over and over again as if they've reinvented the wheel . It should be the bad soundtrack for a bad commercial for a bad perfume: "Eau de Teen Spirit"...(or something).

 

...yeah, but we all were adolescents once, weren't we. (not that it's thaaaat long ago... I hope... )

 

and for the past few years this has been one of my biggest disappointments from NI. so i'm 99% confident that i'll not be buying the next version of maschine; because of the way 2.x has been handled.

i respect akai for communicating with its customers, laying out its roadmap and giving glimpses of its progress... the way that NI used to operate.

 

Why on earth would people think "Maschine is dead in the water"?
Looks like one of the most alive platforms in existence to me... what are people measuring it on? Massive updates every 6 months that change it into a DAW that cooks meals? I mean sheesh... new content is coming out all the time for it.
