I believe this position has already been filled by James Walker-Hall.

good show old chap, it can only be good news that one of the well practiced reaktor guys from this place becomes product manager... i'm sure that he will help to develop the produce well with maximal click logic, this is very good news. sorry to jwh that i called his synth bollox, there was a slight tone of non admiration in that hahaha...it sounds okay though :)

Do you have something useful to contribute here? If I said something wrong, correct me.

he was no doubt inferring that you were too slow or something to get the job, or dozing (of course everyone who reads this place knows j nowak never sleeps, just like the monster from evil dead II)... i think he was joking :)

but not for long, did no one remember a post from james
    when he said:-

"Still, reality calls... and later this year, I must return full-time to my academic work in England. Of course I’ll still remain involved in Reaktor development after that, but we will also need a new full-time Product Manager to manage the day to day things here in Berlin."

most people here would be really overjoyed to do something like that... my cv is pap though and i dont know reaktor very well but i'm sure that there is an active user here with in depth knowledge that we could push into that job... it sounds like programming project coordination. it would benefit everyone here if we pass the news around reaktor circles so that it falls to a dedicated reaktor fan first and formost...
i think the last project coordinator was obviously inexperienced because the whole development of rk4 was disjunct from reality :)he probably came from another project.
the mac side actually halves the development speed of reaktor... i wish apple would dump osx and get on windows, they would probably outsell dell and then everyone would turn to linux which is much better than osx.
wonder what the office is like perhaps it is old and stuffy :) if i had even made one giant synth to rival any in the lib i'd apply.

    What about Urs Heckmann?

The dude knows Mac audio programming inside and out and has more than proven his abilities with MFM and Zebra and Zoid.

I'm sure he needs no introduction to anyone here and he'd certainly get my vote if the spot's gonna be vacant.

I'll be doing the job for a few months yet, but later on this year I'm starting a PhD. So we decided to start the search early as there aren't a great deal of suitable applicants about...

So if anyone is interested... you know where to apply!

I would so love that job. Too bad I have no... you know... experience. And I'm not... qualified.

Other than that I'm up for it, haha.

You might want to toss up the job opening on rhizome.org actually. All sorts of advanced seedy-type electromasters of the highest order there.

They have a section for job postings actually.

john - thanks for the link...

smart_hex - actually its totally unrelated to Reaktor or music, when im not obsessively wiring modules together im a research psychologist... so my phd will be in that... :)

    cheers

I'd love the job. Been recording electronic music since 1968. Designed/built my first analog synth in 1974, my first digital one in 1982. I have an electrical engineering degree (and 20 years experience), and I am an obsessive Reaktor user. I also have a fair amount of DSP experience on the job, and I've been a serious software developer since 1975. Only problem for me is the location - I'm in the USA.

what's up with moving, you got binding social ties in DC?
munich or berlin or where NI is no no doubt a very international city... most industrial centres in europe are very international. after all AMD has kicked intel's ass from a fab in dresden where they used to make sosages, so imagine what you could do if you went to N.I.
anyway i'd only be interested in the job if i went there saying : how many programmers do i get, what powers do i have for drafting new features etc etc. i bet the texan who took over the sausage factory didnt have loads of ties in texas at the time :)
