    Hi,

Why is this a requirement for traktor 2.5 ? do we need to be connected at all times to the internet in order to use traktor 2.5 ?

Yes, NI is goint to be Google and logs everthing you do with Traktor.

    Joking

I also think, this is just or the Software Download. (As I remember, 2.5 comes with 2GB of Factory Sounds, so I think the Connection ist for those, to get them through the Service Center).

if that's the case, then we pretty much always needed a high speed internet connection to download updates.

I would say, it's a "Nice to have" not a "Must have".

The Updates are alway around a few hundred MB big, so a highspeed Connection would be better, otherwise you wait for days, until youd Update is downloaded.

keep the factory sounds .theyre a waste of space =)

I can't wait. I hope 2.5 has built in key analysis for tracks....so sick of using other apps like mixed in key and such...

    I wouldn't bet on it.

If it's going to come, then NI would have announced it.

That's to bad because the next update will be in a year or something haha. I wonder what the point of an update is then...maybe more sample trigger stuff which nobody really uses hehe

For you, I would think, the new BPM Detection would be a great step forward.

Oh your still in the stages of your dj career where you think "beatmatching" is hard? haha...I have dj'ed for 12 years and could match the tempos of two inputs with my eyes closed and not even thinking about it....That's hardly the reason that I use traktor.... but maybe you can get half of a point for the attempt at being funny.
