I never thought in a million years I'd buy the library.. but I'm strongly considering it now. It looks like so much fun! haha

Seriously though, amazing work by all those who created ensembles and instruments. This is going to make a lot more people in their ivory towers take Reaktor more seriously. Amazing stuff...

Also, sound quality is WAY UP. What's the deal with that? Are the ensembles just awesome, or is the audio engine in R4 a lot better? Hm. I vote both.

I for one am VERY anxiously looking forward to Reaktor 4, and anyone else who is whining that its coming out in May not April really needs to can it. Wahoo!

I really didnt think i would buy the library either but it looks really incredible.
To me it seems NI improve their sound quality with every release of a major synth (Reaktor/Generator -> Pro52 -> Reaktor 3 -> FM7 -> Pro53)
I think all the grumblings will subside once R4 is released AS LONG as everything works as stated. Automation better not bring cubase to its knees the first time i load up R4.

On the R4 page, right on top, you can click on "the library" and then choose from different types of ensembles.

.. They're being played back as 44.1KHz mp3s.. it doesn't matter what the sample rate was.

down sampling interpulation in a pro audio app could potentionaly give a better result then reaktors own interpulation at 44.1, so if that were the case, it would make a difference.

    wowee!

I think I know why it will be a long time before anyone sees a "vst compile" button, just do the maths,

30 odd top synths - each by their own right would be viable top plugins.

So we are talking a net value of over a grand for something we get for around 70.

Yes I am very glad I bought reaktor, and yes I want to see more of NI's instrument building instead of their product being destroyed by hundreds of people trying to cash in on vst exports of their core modules.

    Ed.

p.s. shame there are not more internal controller type things though, i.e. LFO,s simple tables that are easy to dial up and using internal midi to control a synth. Something like catepillar but I could never get that to work standalone.
