I'm running Akoustik as a plug-in in Pro Tools. Here's how I do it:

    1. First I set up Akoustik on a stereo Aux track.
    2. Then I play and recorded a MIDI performance onto a MIDI track
    3. Set the output to Akoustik Pino channel-1, hit play and it works fine. No PROBLEMS!

    HOWEVER

If I add an audio track, Akoustik will bleed onto it and if I add any type of plug-in such as a D-Verb or a compressor, it amplifies the track and starts popping and cracking like a record player. The only thing I can do is mute the audio tracks.

    SO...
As a temporary fix, I need to know how to record the Akoustik performance to an audio track because it doesn't play well with other audio tracks. I'D LIKE to get to the bottom of this, but we're recording right now.

Never mind, I figured it out.

My stupid friend Chris Fletcher (hi chris!) likes to hear himself talk and he always screws me up and tells me things like "I see no need for Instrument Tracks, just use Aux's." And i'm like "ok" and all goes to hell. I had lent Chris my Secrets of the Pro's DVD's and now he thinks he's Flood...

One time, I brought up the idea of a NIN video game where Trent ran around with an iPhone and he'd have to sell records to make money to download apps from iTunes. but on the end level, Trent gave away his album for free and was broke so he couldn't afford the Flamethrower App that he needs to defeat Marylin Manson and so Chris cried as I told the story of Trent's death. :(

3 months later... Chris google'd his name and found this post and then he called me and cried and said "Monaco, why do you do these things?"
