EVERY MkII and Studio One owner should open a support ticket ... that will tell management something, because this causes support costs. The more tickets, the more likely they will wake up.

If only 50 owners do that, nothing will happen. But if all 400 voters in the forum will open a support ticket, the ticket analysis will be seen in the management.

Voting in the forum is a waste of time ... open support tickets !!!

All I want for Christmas is full integration with Studio One. Off I go to Presonus support to submit my Christmas list.

Maschine studio has - you can use host transport mode, use a mackie midi template or make an own midi template with cubase.

Doesn‘t seem so, because I remember, that NI wanted to start on a solution early this year.

PS: For Studio One users I can recommend the new Presonus Atom controller as an alternative ... because it has more than just transport control.

For just 140€, including Studio One Artist V4, it‘s a bargain in my opinion. So from a price point perspective it is especially interesting for those, who want to move to S1 or use it as a second DAW. I love it for the songwriting features as e.g. chord track. And the iPad remote control app is also great.

Wow this is depressing. I got my mk2 used, but I was shocked that I couldn't use it to control the transport. Thankfully I plan to make use of the mk3 as the main controller ... which does control it using Mackie Control.

It is totally embarrassing, that more than one year after release most DAWs are not fully supported, because most DAWs don‘t support OSC.

What a horrible product management at NI ... just shaking my head.

It seems like instead of improving the S series, they decided to spend their time and effort on the cheaper A series. I can't count the posts I've seen on other sites where people were interested in purchasing the MK2 until they discovered that many of the advanced features aren't compatible with their DAW.

And that's why some product managers at NI need a kick in the a$$ ... this unsolved transport issue or let's say DAW compatibility is the reason for much lower sales as there could be, I bet.

I for example am totally happy, that I kept my Mk1 and didn't upgrade to the Mk2. And I bet everybody, who did their homework before buying either kept their Mk1 or bought an A-Series.

I like forward looking companies, but at the same time it's always a gamble on what actually sticks and wins out. It does appear NI has fudged this one up and they went all-in for OSC, but I see it as mostly the fault of Presonus for not support the protocol.
Yes NI needs to step up some, but can you really call those DAWs serious contenders if they don't have support for the latest hardware.
I'm just saying they both need to make it happen, and it's really hard to place the blame on either one. imho
