why is it unusable?you have rec/play/stop there the main transports..ive had loads of controllers over the years and not one has erase as a dedicated button..

in the controller editor select play and set it to MCU Button parameter id 94.

and whatever button you want as stop set to parameter ID 93.

( RW, FF are 91 and 92 respectively)

and yeah as saint joe says map it in studio one to a mackie control

ive jusy been trying the transports with cubase 6.5.4 and they dont really work ..

well play works ok but record buton doesnt ,it click on in maschine vst but not in cubase alsoits casing cubase to lock up it just carrys on playing regardless ,controls dont function nether does host daw controls ..

iactivated the mackie control in cubase and pressed shift+control on maschine but its not working right.

Did you check "host transport control" in the controller editor?

Then you activate mackie control in your daw, shift+control is used to go in midi mode you don't need it as transport control are now working in vst mode.

Or wait for St.joe to post his video wich will clarify everything i'm sure ^^

Edit: St.joe was too fast posting, check his video ==> [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkwzvS83rZk&feature=g-u-u"]Maschine 1.8 Tips - Host transport setup in Ableton Live - YouTube[/ame]

working fine here with cubase 5.5.3.

    1. tick host transport control box in controller editor

    2. set play, stop, whatever else you want to MCU button and the relevant parameter ID (see above post)

3 add mackie control in cubase device setup/ remote devices tab

    4. assign macjie control in/out to maschine midi in/out

    5. thats it.

you dont need to be in shift /control controller mode itll work direct from maschine mode.

if that doesnt do it for you must be a bug bud.

you have to add a mackie device, make sure you've added the mackie template in controller editor, and make sure host transport is turned on

Works for me in Studio One. Just had to go to the Studio one options and add the Mackie control remote device and set Maschine controller as Mackie in/out. Run control editor and check the host transport option.

saintjoe, thanks man for the videos :)

I am just saying, because everyone seem to only use the Mackie control with the HTC. wanted to share that it also work with the Ableton Live template and the Maschine script in Ableton, if you didn't already know that.
