    hi b-righteous + st joe, thanks, somehow I needed to reinstall 1.8, got it working now thanks, so erase is now the stop button correct?

    yeah, mackie control will work with that too in midi mode :)

    For those who haven't used it the megaMaschine transport controls are closer Maschine standalone, i.e. the play and stop buttons aren't separate -play is play/pause and restart is play-from-the-beginning/pause.

    i prefer using the Ableton Template as well and can confirm that it works. i like flipping between Maschine Control and Maschine MIDI MOde for the best of both worlds but i can use the Maschine Controller to start and stop Ableton.

    Any help for Reaper users like myself? Followed equivalent steps, got the same old "The following MIDI inputs could not be opened: Maschine Controller In, ...Maschine Contoller Out"

    Solution: Delete Maschine from MIDI devices

    Did I miss Something?

    in Cubase, I've Followed these steps and it worked fine for a little bit then i tap Rewind and the fast forward buttons on maschine and it triggered my samples in any of my group
    but still was able to rewind, how can i solved this ?
    just want it to Rewind N Fast forward it

    did you guys read the manuals?

    i think i am correct in saying there there is a link in Controller Editor Template Documentation to Knowledge Base where there are instructions for loading the Mackie Template in Logic.

    anyway, later today i will upload a Template and a link to a video by http://www.youtube.com/user/AtlantaLogicTrainer.

    fwiw, i don't use the Mackie Template, i use AtlantaLogicTrainer's ideas which assign some modified keys on the default Controller Template and then some function assigns in Logic. i have done his Template in the Controller Editor - as i said i will upload later - but you will need to use learn mode in Logic to assign the Maschine Controllers Key's to certain Logic functions as he describes in his video.

    to clarify, you need Maschine 1.8 and the Controller Editor update 1.5.1 for this to work.

    Ok, i've just finished reading the Controller Editor Manual and Template Manual and i've followed the instructions in the Knowledge Base about setting up the Mackie control in Logic and it doesn't work. The transport controls do nothing.

    Edit: Tell a lie, it does do something. It seems to send a note on message to my Nord Lead which i can't stop.

    Now i'll have a look at the video you posted and see if that works.

    I have to say, i seem to be doing a lot of work here. With this much time and effort i'm putting in it doesn't really seem like an added feature.

    To me an added feature would be i plug it in and it works (you don't need to do this much to get the transient master to work).

    did you enable host control in the controller editor and assign the relevant MCU parameter ID's?

    If so then its inside logic that is the problem.

    You can set the HTC keys to control whatever you like. So one of them could turn the metronome on.

    been trying for hours to get cubase 6.5.4 too work properlly theres major issues with it..sometimes the buttons respond but only for a few times then it locks cubase up and you have to do a hard restart to get control of your computer cntrl+alt+del doesnt work you have to turn the power off.

    but tried it with abelton and it works realy well ..im not too bothered about transport anyway it was an added bonus but the main thing is 1.8 looks cool and seems to work much faster than before :)

    i am sure there is something that you have not done. have you ticked Transport Split Mode? have you set the Port in the Logic Mackie setup?

    anyway, i have started a new thread and have uploaded a Controller Editor Template.
