    Sounds intriguing, Phil.
    Unfortunately, I can't find Deck Tempo Sync Slave anywhere in the list of hotkeys - maybe it's a T3 feature?

    Do you mean Traktor Scratch or Traktor Studio, NG?
    I'm using good old 2.6.2 with a Trigger Finger as a controller!

    TS = traktor scratch

    T2 = traktor dj studio 2.0 - 2.6
    T3 = traktor 3

    Yeah sorry for the confusion 2.6 does not have a lot of the Sync functionality that T3 does and There is essentially NO syncing functionality in Scratch. You want deck control? You got it! Bit its up to you to maintain sync between decks yourself.

    On the T3 side of things, I've discovered a bunch of really interesting bits regarding syncing.

    1/ This is a given based on what we have learned over quite a while.
    TURN SYNCRO-START OFF!
    It will cause you far more problems than it solves, AND, there are easy ways to replicate syncro-start behavior per deck that does not suffer from LAG!

    2/ All Hail to DECK PHASE SYNC! To be honest I just yesterday realized I had been mis-using the deck phase sync function purely as a trigger to get tracks to sync. Switch your hot key type to toggle so that you turn it off or on and it will always keep your tracks in phase sync at startup. The down side is that there is no UI indicator to show its on, so phase sync is likely one of THE Most useful sync operations we have but its overlooked in part because its not well understood, there is no visual indicator on the deck UI to show its state, and there seems to be little in the docs describing it.

    N.G. We need to add it to the docs for the next release. Do you want me to give you a paragraph describing its use or do you have enough here? The other thing we need to do is to get a deck UI indicator to show its state. That is vitally important, I'll file the bug report for it.

    Phase sync uses Phase Vocoder if I remember correctly and uses timstretching to keep the deck in sync. The downside is that it works well for closely matched track but sound awful if the track is stretched a lot to keep in sync.

    thanks phil for the explanation, the manual really sucks when it comes to explaining features. perhaps there should be an advanced section added as a download. Or a new section on the forums explaining advanced techniques ideally with video and audio explanations.

    is there any preset available for traktor 3 to control the hercules mk2 rather then setting them all manually? I dont even know what half of these choices of options do...
