You realize you're asking builders, who have spent 10s or even 100s of hours building something, and then have posted it to the UL for no reason other than to share their work, to spend another x hours writing documentation- right? Documentation aimed at an audience whose skill level is completely unknown to the builder, so the builder needs to explain things to a "least common denominator" audience.

As a builder myself, the LAST thing I want to do when I finish something is write documentation for it. I doubt NI would be willing to hire someone to just go through UL ensembles and write documentation for them, but that's the only way I could see your wish being answered :)

i think there is a room in the sub-forum to ask questions about certain ensembles that are hard to understand. if we have downloaded those ensembles and have had a chance to explore them, then i am sure we will be happy to help with queries.

do you have an example of a UL upload that you would like to ask questions about?

if I might ask a question since i sense among reaktors senior members a reluctance to create additional sub-forums...knowledge is transmitted in stages...beginning at the beginiing and proceeding logicly until some form of mastery is achived...it is an unusual educational system that allows for the gifted to take their places among the ignorant...even if those ignorant are eager to shed their ignorance...all knowledge arrives in stages...like a good book...chapter by chapter...it's very difficult if not nearly impossible to understand what is going on if you turn to the end of book having never read the beginning... so i quess what i am suggesting in defence of the novice reaktionests is a restructuring of the forum to make it more meaningful to all...

It's not so much a reluctance as it's a wish to avoid unnecessary clutter and headaches. Remember that we mods are volunteers; most of us don't work for NI.

to clarify i am very much in favour of this suggestion for a sub-forum. i am against loads and loads of sub-forums and therefore suggested a sticky for new(ish) intermediate Reaktor users.

anyway, back to this. as a non-paid moderator i have emailed NI about this. one of the points that was made was that they want each forum to have the same number and styles of sub-forums. however, they are also thinking about how the forums are structured, so we might see the creation of a new sub-forum.

anyway, i have no power to to create a new sub-forum, that is done by NI. NI can take months to make decisions and months to implement them.

btw, i am wondering whether the "User Library Creator's Section" sub-forum should be re-named and should it be the main forum where newer and intermediate Reaktor users congregate?
