    Hello,

I just bought "Drumkit from Hell2" and I got anxious!

    How tha ... can I convert a nki-instrument to a simple wav - sample???

Long time ago, I gave up to work with midi-keyboards, I just need wav-samples and I thought, in the library of "DfH2" would be a lot of wav-samples...

    well, has anyone an advise?
    thanks

    wrong forum.
you should visit the battery or kontakt forum.
btw. "nki" is a kontakt format (no audio). the .wav files must be somewhere else.

But I can't find any wav-files in the library of my "Drumkit-from-hell2"-Libraby-folder.

Where are they or in what format?
    thanks

i can be wrong coz i dont know DFH2 but,
i think it's normal you cant find any wave files ,coz if i remember, they are "encrypted" in a big file with a "nk something" extension,if i remember, that is something that came with kompakt, and now many developpers make their soundbanks available this way, they "give" you a player that can read this "big file",and let you know that kontakt is able to open it too but you have no access to the datas directly...in 2 words ,with those big banks, you are not able to play the files with another sampler...
something similar to reason's refill,in some way...
    I.M.O that sucks!

    Of course does that suck.

But maybe there are some hackers around here who created a nice tool for encryption...hehe

but it doesn't look like that

    encrypted wave files. indeed. strange.
DFH2 is an *instrument*, no player it seems.
someone told me, you could open them with kontakt 1.5+, but i can not tell you if you can save them as .wav afterwards.
has anyone tried to open them as ".raw" in sound forge?

FYI... and in general for Sample Conversion....

    Checkout

    http://www.extranslator.com/en/formats.htm

Extreme Sample Converter does many formats, and Kontact to WAV is one of them. You can't build Kontact libraries with it yet but this software is under constant development... $50 is no bad price either...

Thought people might like to know...

P.S. I am not the developer... just an owner of the software... neither do I own Kontact so I can't vouch for accuracy in the conversions but AKAI to Sampletank and SF2 works fine..
