Well, I'll tell you the whole history! Don't judge me please :)

I discover Kontakt a week ago, thank you to a friend that give to me the setup from an usb-driver. Very awesome plugin, I love it.

Now, I discover that I have the FULL version of it (without paying for it) : so, that's the "cracked version". I absolutly "hate" cracked software, and I want to remove it (also because Kontakt Player can done what I need, and it is free).

When I try to install it (I mean, the Player), I get a message such as "you already have the full version of Kontakt". On windows setup/programs I don't have "remove Kontakt", so I think I need to remove it manually.

I removed all DLL and .EXE from my computer (Programs folder), but still there are some informations that blocks the genuine setup of Kontakt Player. (I think in the register).

What can I do? Do you know which files/reg I need to remove.

Thanks to everybody will help me! Hope you won't ban me because I want to remove a "cracked version" :) And sorry for my bad english!

Search for all registry keys named "Kontakt" and delete them. Hope this will help.

Recommend backing up your data reformatting the drive and installing everything fresh. Always make sure you are installing legitimate software. You cannot be sure of the way this cracked garbage has been tinkered with. Some hack might have thought it would be kool to plant some graffiti signature or who knows what? in your system.

The registry solution should work. Also search for "Native Instrument" keys and see what's in them. If you see something Kontakt related, remove it.

Tried removing "Kontakt" and "Native Instrument" from regedit.exe (and restart the pc, doing also a CCleaner clean). But nothing...the error is the same : "Installation is not possible since the full version of Kontakt 5 is found on this computer. The latest version of Kontakt 5 can load all Kontakt Player libraries. You can update your existing Kontakt 5 full installation by running the latest Kontakt 5 update installer!".

    Damn, any other ways?

Search system-wide for any folder with "Kontakt" and "Native Instruments" in the name and remove anything Kontakt-related in them. Include hidden folders in the search.

Already done, also with system-file! But there is somethings that stop the installation. Maybe some file that isn't called Kontakt? Maybe in the Windows folder? Don't know : is there a list of installed files somewhere?

Perhaps the installer folder is making the fuss. Should be in C:\ProgramData\ (on Windows 7, hidden folder). It should have a cryptic name, but inside you should find Kontakt 5.msi and some other files. Delete that folder.

I don't know, then, sorry. If you have system restore enabled, try that. Other than that, you may have to format the hard drive and go from scratch, but that's insane. There must be a way to completely remove it, but I'm all out of ideas.

Perhaps, if you're up for TeamViewer session, I might try and track things down for you? PM me. I'm +1 GMT.

Make Sure that you've run the uninstaller before you do anything, then delete any of the following folders if they exist:

    C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments

    C:\Program Files (x86\Native Instruments\
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Native Instruments

    C:\ProgramData\Native Instruments\

    C:\Users\PC\Documents\Native Instruments
    C:\Users\PC\AppData\Local\Native Instruments

Then, within the registry, make sure that none of these keys exist, and also make sure to search for anything related to "Service Center" as well. Also, I'd strongly recommend you back up you're registry first before you make any changes, just to be on the safe side.

    Registry keys to remove:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.NKB
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.NKI
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.NKM
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.NKP
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.NKS
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\NI.Kontakt 5.nki
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\NI.Kontakt 5.nkm

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Native Instruments

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Native Instruments

    HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Native Instruments

What if I've installed full version of Komplete 10? If I remove all Native Instruments related data in registry editor I'll have to reinstall the giant Komplete 10... yet that's not too bad...

You need to remove Kontakt from Windows registry. Follow the steps below.

    1. Press Window key+ R key together. When a Run command box appears, type regedit into the Open field, and click OK.

    2. Once the registry editor opens, click Edit and select Find option.

    3. Type the "Kontakt" into the Find what field and click Find Next.

    4. Once you get the search results, delete the entries related to "Kontakt".

    5. Click Edit and select Find option again, type the "Native Instrument" into the Find what field and click Find Next.

    6. Delete the entries related to "Native Instrument".

If the steps above don't work, or you cannot find any registry entries related to Kontakt, then please use a professional uninstaller which can search for the corrupted or hidden entries of a program with ease.
