How are you making the beats that they need to be converted from Wav files?

I know I’m late on this but a let on is the easiest way I know it’s literally right click and convert to harmony. It’ll make a new track with the notes in midi

Ableton does this and I rarely use it tbh. It only works well on certain source types anyway.
I’m in favour of perfecting what Maschine is good at, rather than giving it every feature under the sun. Quality not quantity.

I recommend a really expensive Kontakt bundle so you don't have to get good at music theory like the rest of the people who replied to your post.

I guess your not a fan of sampling

    on Ableton

    Who's really trolling here.

We are all supposed to have a say on the forums no? Some of us have spent thousands of dollars on Maschine and want to see features like this added. No more expansions.

Some of us want to see after touch added too.

I had melodyne and trust me its not like 5 mouse clicks. Not worth 1/2 its $ value either for the record.

Learning different ways to do things in different programs and DAW’s will do wonders for your creativity in the long run.
yeah and its also expensive and wastes time and computer$. I have Ableton, logic, FL and Maschine. I completely agree with him.

Wav to Midi (along with countless other MIDI features specifically) would save a lot of valuable, precious and fleeting time in Maschine to get your musical idea onto the piano roll.

    with or without a controller.

But I do completely agree you will learn alot (maybe more than you need to know to make music) if you catch all the DAWS!

wav to midi might increase quality too. I don't understand your argument.

I don't use it much myself, but can't you just use the wav file in the sampler and convert it to midi in Maschine using the sequencer, or have I completely misunderstood.?
If the wav files are notes that he wants to extrapolate, that's a different matter, though most wouldn't call them beats.

I think what the other commenters were referring too is when they drag their loops into Ableton, they then use it to convert those harmonies into midi. then they take that resulting midi in the Ableton piano roll (i.e. a piano loop in C#locrain), export it and put that file

    i.e. 'WeirdscaleC#locrain.mid'

into Maschine. I believe this is a matter specific to harmony and music theory no? kinda like the ghost notes

    Ah.
Whilst that would be useful. I don't think it's on any roadmap for Maschine.

I just keep having this idea in my head over and over again. "midi clusters".

I was going to ask for updated compatibility with blue cat audio's patchwork so I can use either captain chords or scaler 2 (both of which I purchased thinking they were compatible with Maschine) im not trying to cloud up the forum and im starting to see a trend with the midi stuffs and I understand it would require big changes to the software. **I always kinda thought Traktor had some kind of key detection software NI could use though.

I want to tell you a story. Ill make it short lol. I remember when I got my Maschine. I went to guitar center right after to get some headphones and there were some ppl there playing a Rhodes type keyboard. I was just watching enjoying myself. But they were taking turns playing chords with both hands. They were laughing and having fun the whole time. It was just different.

When I first got my Maschine one of the main things I loved to sample was Rhodes keys. Especially when they were played as strummed chords. But those voicings were so complicated. When I started using chord mode it was awesome. But over time I learned it wasn't exactly the same. I still struggle playing keys when I get the chance. But ive gotten really good with keyboard mode my mk3.

anyways I would really love to see chord mode revamped. fair enough though. I am only one user.

I thought Patchwork was supposed to work OK with Scaler 2.
Again it seems pretty incongruous to not be able to use midi programmes within Maschine. I've used them OK with Unify and I think DDMF's Meta Plugin works OK. D-One recommended Image Lines Mini Host (https://www.audiopluginsforfree.com/minihost-modular/) which is free.

So, you want to break an audio file into separate pieces for each hit, and create a MIDI file that triggers the pieces? Sounds like you want rex files, which M+ doesn't support, but apparently Mk3 does.

I think you might love the JAM.
It allows to design your own chord shapes.
