You need to go over the installation instructions for your plug-ins. For any of the NI komplete plug-ins they tell you specifically not to move the plug-ins after installation. You have to run the installers and point them to the location you want the VST to install to. You need to check Maschines plug-in preferences and look at the paths Maschine is looking for plug-ins which on PC will be different paths for 64 bit and 32 bit. Before I continue, you did not specify your OS and if you are using the 64 bit or 32 bit version. What plug-in you are trying to load? Is it giving you an error message? How did you try to load it meaning what menu did you use or hardware modes/buttons?

Okay, there should be two Maschine 2 applications on your desktop. One is 32 bit. The 64 bit one says Maschine 2 64 bit mode. The 64 bit Maschine will not see 32 bit plug-ins and the same vice verse.

When you open Maschine's preferences under plug-ins, you will see a way to add and remove paths. Pay attention to the paths it is scanning for VST plug-ins. One or two will be for 64 bit plug-ins and another one or two for 32 bit. This you will have to get sorted. When you run your installers for any of the Komplete plug-ins, they will give you the option in the installer dialog for each plug-in dll, 32 bit and 64 bit respectively. You need to run the latest updates for any Komplete plug-ins and pay attention to the install paths and line it up with where Maschine is looking for them. Remember this must be done via the installers as you can't move them manually after or it won't work properly. Also, for the browser integration to work, you must launch any Komplete instrument like Kontakt, Reaktor, Massive etc. in stand alone mode before you open it in Maschine. This is crucial.

Same with other VST's. You have to double check the paths you installed them to against the paths that Maschine is scanning. Reinstall the plug-ins and make sure they are actually the 64 bit versions of those plug-ins. Make sure you are launching the Maschine 64 bit mode and not the default 32 bit Maschine.

To open a plug-in that is not from native instruments, you hold shift + browse on the controller. Then you choose external for the type on the screen. Make sure you have Maschine focused on the sound tab if you need to load instruments as they can't be loaded from the group tab. From the software you can click the + sign next to the slot below the sound tab and choose external. The normal browser will not show your external plug-ins until you save them as a preset.

    No problem.

Just watched the video. You have two paths pointing at your desktop. By default the plug-ins will go to C:/program files/.. VST plug-ins. 32 bit will be C:/Program Files (x86)/..VST plug-ins. The ... is because under these paths there may be an additional folder like "Steinberg" or by default the Native instruments will be in a Native Instruments sub folder.

You mentioned you had Korg Legacy. Those are old and I am not sure they are even compatible or if they are available in 64 bit. As a Maschine user you get Massive, have you tried to install that?

I'm having similar issues. Maybe someone can help.

    Running an i5 windows 7 64bit.

I made two VST folders (as suggested in the in the maschine 2.0 installation) during my installation of 2.0. One named 'VST 32' inside my 'x86 program files' folder and one 'VST 64' in my 'program files' folder.

I installed Luxonic Purity and Minimonsta vst's (in VST 32 folder) to try them out. I ran both in standalone first.

After that I started Maschine 2.0 and assigned the above mentioned vst folders in my preferences.
None of them show up after doing a couple of scans. I believe they are 32bit vst's. Most of the vst's I (and many others) use are. They are light and get the job done.
I installed Massive by the way.. this works well, it's just the external vst's.

I assume they should work? If maschine 2 only recognizes 64bit vst's that would be a major let down as other DAW's recognize both 32 bit and 64 in win7 64bit...

    If anyone can help please.

Oke so that means that Im supposed to work with either 32 bit vst's or 64 bit vst's instead of both?

What are other (dis)advantages of running either 32bit maschine or 64 bit besides this seemingly crippling VST support feature?

NI did not waste precious development time writing yet another buggy bit bridge and that was a really smart move. Bridging issues are a moving target and never ending battle. All of the built in bridges in various DAW's are buggy when bridging is enabled in most casses. Reaper is the exception. There is already a third party app called jbridge that does a good job that you can get for $15.00. It works in Maschine and you can run Maschine 64 bit and just use jbridge to bridge the few VST's you have that don't have 64 bit version.
