How do I get the sound of a pattern to cut off when a new one begins?

The last sound in the first pattern is playing into my second pattern.

I want that last sound to cut off when the new pattern starts.

    Thanks.

you could automate amp release of the synth\sampler and set it to sero at the end
or is it a reverb or other fx that lasts too long? then just automate that

I'm not sure what any of that means.

I'd just like for D1 pattern to stop when E1 begins.

It is a sound from a sample that lasts a bit too long. I separated the groups so I could tune the sample down and have it go from D1 to E1 in a new tune, but the sound from D1 is a bit too long and it's overlapping.

Ahh ok then its easy just set polyphony to 1 and then the new note cuts the old one
    it´s under the first tab - voice settings/engine - polyphony to 1

I have them all set to the same choke group 1, and link group 1.

The sound it still going over.

is it because the patterns for each is longer? My D1 pattern is 4, same with E, F, and G. I have the same sound going through all of them, I just made new groups so I could change the tune down in each group. So it starts with D1, then E I start it at 2, G I start at 3, etc. Is there an easier way to do this? I think that's the problem. That the sound is carrying on because the pattern length is longer than 1. But if I set the pattern length to 1, then that sound will play over after 1.

ahh you loaded them in different groups why not just on the next pad? then choke and polyphony 1 does not work - the length doesnt matter
you dont need so many groups for one sound just add patterns and play a lower note on the next pattern

group a is an example of polyphony set to one and he souns cutting off from the same sampler
group b is an example for a choke group the sounds cutting of each other from different pads

Is there a way to lower a certain sound within a sample?

Like there is this clap in the background of a flute sound I want. Is there a way to get rid of that clap sound?

That depends is it one sample that contains both at the same time? Then it's almost impossible I would say. Better you search for a single flute sound and use that.

    I've got another issue.

I am putting scenes together. I have 4 of them.

The problem is the last sound, a sample, from scene 3, is bleeding into the start of scene 4. They are different scenes, in different groups, different patters.

They have the same choke group and link group. Polyphony is set to 0.

Why wouldn't that sound cut off when a new scene starts?

Poliphony only works within one instrument and a choke group within the group. But you could automate the release parameter after the last note is played to sero on the sound you want to cut.

If you set release completely down to sero the sound ends with the note
