I own the Komplete package. I'm working remotely on a netbook. It has no DVD drive and I don't plan on buying one. I'd like to instal Kontakt because I use Soundminer / Miniminer and Kontakt to source SFX and quickly map and audition samples.

How would I instal Kontakt using the DVD's that ship with Komplete. Can I just copy an installer for Kontakt off the disk ? Thanks

Create a disk image on another computer and move it to the netbook via the network or a USB-disk. Install Daemon tools lite on the netbook, mount the image and install as you would normally.
This would kind of a chore to do for all the library disks though, so you might as well just get a USB-DVD drive.

Studio13, do yourself a big favor and purchase an external USB DVD drive. You can buy one for $30 USD or less. I have one for my notebook and it has helped me transfer files many times.

    Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I was hoping to do just a basic install of the Kontakt sampler only, without the libraries. I just need to be able to map my own samples for quick auditioning. Thanks

If you have another Mac, connect a firewire cable and start it up in firewire Target Disk Mode.

If it's not a mac you can do a similar thing by sharing the CD rom drive over the network with another PC.
