I'm hoping someone can help me here. I have a Maschine Mikro. I am trying to send midi notes out of maschine and record them onto clips in ableton. I have the Maschine playing the sounds I need on the pads, and the audio is coming out of the midi track in ableton, but Ableton is not receiving any midi notes. I have the Mikro set up as a controller in Ableton and the Input and Output set in the Ableton preferences. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I need to play the kit in Keyboard mode on the maschine (I have a battery kit loaded into one "sound" in the group).

Don't use Ableton, but it took me 5 seconds to google this.

    Hope that helps.

PS. AFAIK midi tracks only sends messages, not audio.

You've needed 10 seconds to find the right one :)
This the most recent video from saint joe about the topic:

@Jiloo in Ableton, you can send midi data and recieve the audio on the same track with "instrument racks".
This is one of my fav. features in Ableton. Everything finishes on same track, you den't need 2 separate channels.

Thanks, alpert, good to know. As I said, I don't use Ableton, so it always good to learn something new.
I can put a midi data and audio on the same track in Bitwig, but it's called „hybrid track”.

Your vid is more recent one, mine was just first from the search on google ;)

Despite the amount of time you spent on Google, you both posted videos that don't work for the 2.3 update. I made my own video on how to do it so it will hopefully help others trying to figure this out:

Didn't you open a thread about this? Sticking with that would be probably more productive then bumping a 4 year old thread :p

Yeah I know it's old but I'm really stuck on figuring this out. I realized that working with Ableton clips gives more flexibility than what I'm looking for.

Hey man. I'm afraid I got fed up with Maschine's DAW integration and I don't use it any more. I'm not sure if the new update has changed since I made that video. Good luck!
