How Do I set a Hot Key to Reverse Play in Traktor Pro?

I barely used the function in T3 but what's the difference to Reverse Play and using a loop with Reverse Grain on Pitch:100, Grain:100, Speed:100, INV off, FWD off?
Sounds like a simply reversed loop to me.

 

i just tried that to see what could be done - 8 beats vs an entire track would be the difference, and quite a big one.

i used reverse all the time - great for freaky vocal bits, mid rangey synth fun, or just shifting the perspective of a tune... having more than 8 beats is essential for creative layers; imagine if the loop function on the decks was isolated to such a short length?

 

Used this also before going live when going to far forward finding the right spot.

 

Thanks for the workaround but it isn't the same. eg situations where you miss the imminent ending of a track - it is nice to kick it into reverse which gives you a few seconds to find a new track.

And they didn't even note this in the "Dropped T3 Features" chapter of the manual.

Yes, not just bring back T3 reverse but implemement your suggestion so that we can time the reverse perfectly (although I had gotten used to hitting sync straight after).

No need to imagine if you've used Traktor LE, it was one of my reasons for upgrading to Pro.

 

+1 for an instant reverse.

 

Just add a sync command to the reverse button in the mapping innit.

Thanks for the props, I actually achieved reverse playback with the platters via jog assigments. That's how I did it recently.

Good find though.
