Since not a single piece of paper says the 62 has 2 interfaces built in, I hardly think so, I rather think it has 1 interface that splits up to 2 usb-ports if needed.

I´m not the one who designed it, so I might be wrong. That´s just how I see it from what I know.

Pioneers are the "Remixer's" choice (more channels more fun)

Rane is the undisputed "Turntablist" Choice. (Less stuff in the way more fun)

Perhaps you are correct, and the article that I read was wrong. I don't actually have a 62, so what do I know?

Here is a quote from the article -

And here is the link to the full article -

Personally I think they´re wrong, but who cares as long the functionality is the same.

Still no DVS can handle 2 soundcards, that´s what was wrong in the first place.
(unless you use asio4all or aggregate device on osx...)

You're saying that the People who did the review are wrong?

    I repeat:

I don´t "think" it has 2 actual interfraces built-in, but one that splits up if necessary.

That doesnt mean I´m right, I just believe that´s how it works.

Speaking very basic: interface->multiplexer->usb-port1 or usb-port2.
Thats just hoe I would do it.

    Why can´t you accept that?
It is my fuc*ing opnion, doesn´t mean I´m right.

Still I´m right when it comes to software handling 2 interfaces: not possible atm.

If they fixed the bugs and glitchyness of it I would completely love it. They should have had adjustable tensioners just for people that like to cut with the line faders but I guess that's a quick fix replacing with the innopro's.

the paint issue who cares really

At the end of the day I'm happy.

My question Is, I'm wondering if I swap out the crossfader with the innofader pro will the cut/curve/reverse that's on the mixer work.. last time I bought a innofader I purchase the innojuster and that thing was awful.

Has NI made a case for this?

Works perfectly, but you should get the inno-pnp, as the adapter board of the inno-pro is damn hard to get in unless you take one linefader out as well.

Thanks. Elliot had mentioned this, and now you have confirmed it. The Innofader Plug n' Play it is then. Whew, now i just need to purchase (3) of them........ughh, why the hell did NI choose an upfader w' resistance? That was more of a statement than a question!

Especially if you want all 3 changed the Inno-PNP is the way to go,
as I really dont see how you would fit 3 adapter-boards in there....

There are places for opinions and there are places facts. When talking about what something has physically in it should be fact. If it has two sounds cards then it has two sound cards if it doesn't it doesn't.

    Ok,
I think the review is wrong from how I understand the manual and what Rane says about the Sixty-Two.
To me it clerly say there´s 1 (!) interface that´s being multiplexed.

Taken from the Manual and Technical PDFs.

1: "Each of the two USB ports can stream 20 channels of low-latency audio"

2: "ASIO & Core Audio Drivers:
These included drivers allow the SixtyTwo to act as a 8-in 12-out USB external
sound card for use with multiple thirdparty software clients supporting Core
Audio (Mac) or ASIO (Windows). The
    Sixty-Two controls are MIDI-mappable
    with supporting software."

    3:"USB Audio:
There are six stereo record channels and
    four stereo playback channels. These
    channels are simultaneously available on
two USB ports, allowing two computers to
    share the device"

    -> 1 interface but 2 usb-ports.

Please proof me wrong or leave it alone for god´s sake.

If you are looking for the same bullet-proof
construction, pristine audio quality and integrated
20-channel sound card, but prefer to use your own
MIDI controller with outboard software or hardware
effects and a single computer, and don’t need the
sample and loop controls, consider the Rane SixtyOne Mixer. Details are at rane.com.

When they mention the sound card, it's NOT Plural, so it only has one, from what the information is telling us.

About two weeks since i've bought Z2. Pretty damn like it!
Sure that all positive sides of the product already been posted in this thread,
so i'd like to mention few things that i personaly don't like (maybe there any possibilites that someone from NI are reading it and make some notes to the next product or, perhaps, new driver or mapping) so here we go:
    1. It's realy cool to have this littel traktor buttons that on/off software inputs and lets you play some analog vinyl, but it realy not cool that all the other side of the mixer, including 2 Macro FX and Deck D buttons, are NOT working too.
    2. Realy don't like how the switch buttonc with letters A B C D works. With hot cue - everything is okay. but when we aproaching remix decks - just can't understand why the first mode is better then secondary (when you push the button twice or once+shift) . Z2 seems to me more of hardcore battle tablist, who wants to have all his jingles and samples as easy as it can, rather than trance-house-mixer when you want to sync everything and throw some melodies with remix decks.... Think i'll get into mapping someday and correct that situation, but mayhaps somebody (from NI) will be faster then me =)
    3. dissapointed a littel because of no fx send-return option. love to have separate FX control on two channels... anyway my Kaos will be plugged after Z2 (but maybe i also can plug it as a send-return via booth output and aux input? i'll give it a try)

Just 3 complains, and Z2 has much more advantages. Very nice product. Respect NI

Nice to hear the positive reviews. And relative quietness of the boards. Everybody is busy making music instead of bitching on the boards.
