    Im using cubase and a mixer that is very nice but lacks enough output busses.

    For recording in a studio do you just route the signal as follows:

    Guitar >> Computer sound card/Guitar rig >> Tube amp >> re routing back into the second input set of the computer?

    My guitar has digital outs but I never use them and usually just use the mic for tube "purist tone"

    What I want from GR is to use the time effects and turn off amp sim.

    Do you need an isolation booth for this method?

    The issue I have is the dry signal is loud in the headphones and the processed wet is low during recording.

    Can any one list a brand of mixer I should consider for this recording method?

    Would a second dedicated computer with sound card and mixer be the ideal fix?

    Im getting lost in all the "ins and outs" so I thank you in advance.

    Welcome =)

    If I were you and just using the time effects, I'd run GR in the amp's effects loop myself. So;

    Guitar >>amp>> FX loop send to soundcard ins>> soundcard outs to fx return. Or, if you have a slave out on your amp, take the slave out and send it to your soundcard, and bring the soundcard outs straight to the board.

    However, in any situation like this, you'll need to get your latency as low as it will go. You'll be dealing with both input and output latency.
