Right click on the next preset button on the virtual RK. Select Learn and hit a pedal on the FCB. Make sure you have a MIDI track in Live connected to the the FCB and pointed to GR.

YOu can also use the controller assignments page to link up the FCB to the Virtual Rig Kontrol.

Thanks for the help but doesn't that limit control to selecting the next or previous preset?
I would ideally like to assign a pedal to a specific preset so i can jump around.

Just about any button/switch,etc can be assigned to a fcb pedal if you have the stomp box uno chip.
You use the learn function to assign stomp box pedals to GR controls.

The expression pedals can be assigned using learn also.
right click on a wah slider and select learn. move the expression pedal and now that moves the wah slider.

For presets, The banks in the fcb are numbered. 00 to .08

if you are in bank 00 and you step on FCB pedal one, Gr preset number 1 will selected

if you are in FCB bank 03, Gr preset 31 will be selected

    Aha

    thanks both of you

not sure why I need the chip yet - not sure of the limitations.

Actually now I think I have a conflict having mapped some pedals on Bank 00 to control Live - how do I stop the Presets changing?

I guess I have to map another pedal to turn on and off the midi track routed to GR?

No won't work - I am using a Live looping method that requires that I have some tracks pre-armed, if I toggle arming the midi track then they will go off.

    Any (more) ideas much appreciated.

OK so I don't need to do that - I just leave it armed like the record tracks, for some reason my Bank 00 pedals aren't swapping the presets I guess because I've programmed them to send note messages.

I just create a bank with my patches starting at 011 (Bank 2)

So everything working great - presets in any order and live loop record, great fun!

First off to the OP, Live 7 has the ability to disable the behavior that turns off record arming on all other tracks when a new track is record armed. It's in the Record/War/Launch section of the preferences. Just FYI.

Now to my problem with using the FCB1010. In GR 3.2.1 standalone I can assign pedals on the FCB to the next and previous buttons, but when I actually use them they work for the first press on each pedal and then they stop working. In the plugin version I can't get them to work at all in Live 7.

Has anyone else had this problem with GR3 and the FCB1010?

Ok a little more detail: I have the FCB1010 set to send CCs and I'm trying to assign a couple of pedals to the RK3 input slots so I can change sounds via previous/next commands. When I assign them they work the first time the pedal is pressed and then they won't work anymore unless I manually change the preset with the mouse. Then it will work one time, then not, until I manually change it again. Is this something to do with CC messages or is there something else I'm missing?

It seems that the FCB1010 won't send a '0' value for every '127' triggering of a CC message. I guess this is one of the reasons the UNO firmware was made.

Anyway I was able to create a workaround in Max.
