    hi,

im trying to re-create a vst but i can't get the filter right

i made a audio clip of what it should sound like. its 1 noise oscillator and i then i add some more resonance and then turn the cutoff knob

That's a simple 4-pole lowpass filter with the resonance set to the max usable value (.98 or .99).

    Cheers,

Just looking at the scope it's obvious that yours is getting clipped, so the volume might be too high. Also did you try different values for the resonance? Perhaps slightly less than I mentioned.

There really is no one easy answer you'll need to experiment a little, it really shouldn't take *that* long to get something very similar.

    Hi!

Perhaps you can also try the pro-53 Filter. This one has a way more stable gain at the output on high resonances!

i tried em all, some are as slightly better then others but they all share the same kind of quality compared to the example :(
there must be more to it but i have no idea what

it is impossible to tell really, unless you upload at the very minimum a screenshot of what you are doing.

i agree with CList, you are overdriving and causing clipping.

try with only 1 voice.... i bet you are using a default instrument that has 4 voices.

and have a look at SIAC in the User Library, that has a filter the self oscillates.

To the user library? You should get that in the registration process.... passwords are personal.
