How long have you owned your Z2 and what kind of problems have you had with it?

The audio on my set is really muddy but you'll get the idea.

 

I've had mine for about a year and a half now, and only problem I've had is the paint thing. As far as durability, imo it gets an a+. I tout the Z2 everywhere, it's been to gigs at clubs, in the woods, on the beach, etc... I don't have a road case, but I do have a good tough Canon camera bag that I use to haul it around. I'm not a straight turntablist, but I scratch a decent amount and have had no real issues with my faders, though I will probably be replacing the xfader with a innofader soon.

 

I've got 99 problems, but only two are technical.

1) Bloody face plate paint
2) For some reason, the Alert Symbol always flashes (i.e. low ram).

Other than that, the other problems come from learning and mapping the ridiculous ways to interact with Traktor.

 

Grimwood the Alert Symbol flashes when your laptop is not plugged into a power source. Could be that?

 

The newer faceplate is pretty good with the paint markings. It can wear off around the fader if you drag your fingers on the faceplate but my fingers never touch or rest on the faceplate when I cut up.

 

Got mine a month ago and it initially showed startup gremlins (crossfader in hamster so i had to switch back and forth from hamster and normal to get it right. Wasnt doing much scratching (tho when i did had no problems) till the other day when i decided on a serious practice and noticed a little ramp in the volume cut in. Went into mixer settings and turned the crossfader fully to sharp as it was a little bit smooth and all hell broke loose. Now i cant scratch at all or the fader needs recalibrating every ten seconds or so, not cutting volume out at all when pushed to either side. Have tried every restart under the sun short of deleting everything and re installing all software. Getting tired of sorting out traktor gremlins.

 

No problems until i tried to use it with a new MacBook running sierra...

 

I have had my z2 for around 1 year and only issues I've ever had it with it is the deck A/C vu meter sometimes stops working but besides that the fader is great and buttery smooth and easy to replace with other inno's. Sound is amazing and I like TSP....took me a lil time to get used to it as I used to use Serato

 

i have a Z2 that i bought when it first came out... maybe 3 years? only had the face plate issue which NI took care of . everything else is still pretty much as good as new. One of NI better products IMHO.

 

two weeks ago i bought second z2, why? the first one just stop suddenly working, since the mixer was 3 years old my guarntee expired, and i send to local service and they told me its some kind of issue of motherboard inside of mixer and cant repaire so i contact native instruments about that and they told me that i can send them mixer they will replace, so id dint send mixer because shipping and repaire will cost as new one, so bought new one...and i have problem, my mac is on sierra when my mixer came i tested every buttons on him,i have problem if i turn on sync button the pitch goes all the way into minus or plus...so i tryed with older version of traktor same thing...next week im gonna try other osx to see maybe its problem with sierra. P.S. sory for my english.

I have the traktor kontrol Z2, x1 and f1 for a couple months now and i'm really a fan of it, gonna by some more stuff for this to. But at the moment i have a serieus problem. I never had problems but now since the update i can't play anymore. The controller is linked according to traktor but i can't do anything, not even selecting a track, press play, etc... Also the x1 and f1 doesn't seem to make a connection. Can you help me please?

I've had mine since it was released, the only issues I ever had was the original faceplate paint but NI sent me a replacement really fast and I haven't had any issues since with it (I'm heavy on scratching and it gets some abuse for sure but the paint is still there after years) and the original cross fader.. it was bleeding or anything but the cut-in distance was a too far to be considered good for scratching so NI replaced the mini innofader with the updated version that had been produced to remedy this.

Other than that, between me and my friends we have 3 of them and they have been amazing since day 1

 

I bought a Z2 last weekend. Only 'issue' for now is that the line faders are pretty stiff which makes fast cutting a bit difficult. Other than that I am a happy customer
