How many install max when you buy TRAKTOR PRO ?

I've messed up the collection transfer and I'm thinking about reinstalling everything and opt for the set up someone talked about in this forum. hopefully I'll get my old TDJ3 transfer cue points, playlists and beatgrids the way it was in TDJ3 before.

I will then tell everybody if it works too for me.

"k, heard back from support today and they've solved the problem (for me at least!).

The original error appears to have occurred because I copied my old collection.nml file into the TS Pro directory (as other people have done successfully). Although this seemed to work in the first instance, subsequent attempts to open the collection failed (invalid collection, blah, blah).

So I went back to T3, selected the whole collection and did a 'write tags'. Following this I replaced the collection.nml file the in the Pro directory with the original one it was installed with.

I loaded TS Pro, and right clicked on the 'collection' icon in the browser and selected 'import collection'. I pointed to the T3 collection file and a few minutes of processing later, its all up and running.

Most importantly, I get no errors now after i subsequently close and restart TS Pro!

Yep, I also copied across the collection file much as you did. Initially I could see the cue points, but when TSPro had finished analysing the tracks they had gone. So I guess I'll have to do what you did when I'm ready to make the switch from TS 1.3.

What happens if you want to install 3 times then? Thats stupid as, I have a PC and am soon switchin to a mac, what happens if I have to reinstall on the mac?

 

Well for a start its not stupid, its stops people installing the program on their mates laptops like 20 times.
You can simply 'uninstall' Traktor from a machine. The instructions are in the 'Knowledge Base' on this website. Then install on another.

Its just like any other program, there is a limited amount of machines you can install on. NI is just like any other software company.

Hey Andy, yeah man id just finished my gig and had to wait a while for the club manager to sort me my cash-moneh so i thought id check my favourite waste of time (this forum) !
Last nite was an odd nite, i do a high-street club and wasnt expecting much as its only pay week next week but the place was jumping . Had one too many Coronas as well, ouch me heads hurts.

sorry for the old bump, but I'm new to this forum. I just purchased Traktor Scratch Duo and was wondering about this. I see there is a two max install limit, but from what Karlos is saying, it's just two max at a time?

My situation is this: I'm installing for sure on my desktop, and would like to also install on my laptop. Thing is I plan on getting a new laptop in a couple months, so I can just uninstall everything from my current laptop and install it again on the new laptop and that should work fine correct?
