I'd love to get an idea of the number.

My point is that if the vast majority of us DO use iTunes to organise our collections/sets, then NI should pull their finger out and make the integration of iTunes and Traktor much better. I for one would rather not have to manage 2 collections of the same music (which is what I am currently forced to do, due to the failings of the Traktor iTunes node).

So please reply if this is the case, and if numbers are high enough, we can look at organising a definitive list of fixes/tweaks, and make a concerted effort (via a carefully worded feature request thread) to encourage NI listen and implement...

This nonsense has been going on too long!

    Thanks,
    Chris

I use iTunes and put up with Traktor's failings in that area as I don't want to have to duplicate my effort. Reasons why I use iTunes include: smart playlists, ability to listen to and organise music without opening Traktor, familiar UI with easy keyboard control. I'd be more than happy to feedback into a list of issues (the primary one for me being no cover art...)

To be honest, you lot are missing out.

All iTunes store downloads are now DRM free. The smart playlists are excellent. A lot of people use an app to play their MP3s when they aren't using Traktor. Seamless integration would save a lot of people a lot of time.

Seamless integration with multiple apps would help more people, but why not start with the market leader?

uuuh? You are the second person who says that- so what? Why do you need iTunes for that? By the way the editing features in Traktor are excellent as well. And mp3 tagging in general isn't exactly rocket science. Third party software integration, means trouble. One major (iTunes) update and hell will break loose on this forum among iTunes users, Just watch it happen (like it already haven't.) DRM or not, I mainly play wavs and couldn't care less anyway. NI should focus their time and money on hardware integration and devloping their own features. Still no sampler in sight... I support NI, but I don't want to have anything to do with apple. Ever.

I take it this is a -1 from you then! iTunes integration won't really help you with your .wavs, I agree. And you also make a valid point regarding Apple 'breaking' the iTunes library. I believe better iTunes integration is on the roadmap, as the the sampler. What I'd like Traktor to do is cross-reference the collection with the library so I can see tags such as the key and the correct bpm from within my smart playlists.

-1 iTunes doesn't play with wave to well. I use iTunes only for podcasts, djsets and paid iTunes tunes. Traktor is a lot more effective in regards to wav. I'd personally rather see traktors tag implementation taken a step futher. Writing track info from tags and taking track info and converting it to tags in traktor.

I tunes is good if you buy everything mp3.

Are iTunes downloads still 128kbps? That is one of the major factors why I have NEVER used iTunes. Low song quality.

I don't understand why to use iTunes, Traktor is very capable for tagging and organizing your library and you are going to play with it anyway, to use a third party aplication just leads to trouble, headaches and having to mirror your library in two programs which is a waste of time and also iTunes sucks and sounds like ****.

    He dicho!
