I'm still new to Maschine, so probably a newbie question:

I've installed the free RAUM VST and some other VST's from the web, such as Dexed, MonoFury and TAL Noisemaker. See screenshot.
They're installed all over the place:

    MAC HD>Library>Audio>VST
    MAC HD>Erik>Library>Audio>VST
    MAC HD>Erik>Documents>Maschine>Plug-ins

These folders are correctly set in Maschine preferences, and the plugins show up in the preferences window. The plugins are 64 bit as far as I can see.

But I have NO idea how to load them.... If I click the tiny plugin button they do not show up. If I search for "dexed" in the search bar it also doesn't show up. See screenshots.

What am I missing here? I have already read the manual and followed YouTube tutorials, but it still doesn't work.

    Like so:

If they don't show up then make sure Maschine has found them (this appears to be the case), they match your cpu type (32 vs 64 bit) and... Apple right? I'm on Windows so I could be mistaken but... can Apple actually use VST? afaik it's limited to AU only.

Thanks for replying. Yes, VST's work under Mac OS too. (I'm not sure what the difference is between VST and AU?) . This issue started since I installed OS X Catalina, none of the plugins could be opened any more, even the 64 bit ones. I just removed ALL VST's and reinstalled them under Catalina, and allowed opening them under File Vault. Now they finally show up in Maschine.

There's your answer, I'm pretty sure of that.

Many of NI's electronic products have major issues with Catalina and it is highly recommended not to upgrade if you don't have to because of all those problems. And don't be fooled: these problems aren't limited to NI only, pretty much the entire DAW market has suffered tremendously. My two favorite DAWs (Ableton Live & Reason) also had major compatibility issues.

Being a Windows users I'm not up to date with the current developments but to my knowledge the "don't upgrade if you don't have to" still applies, so unfortunately at this time the only thing I can do is blame the Catalina update.
