? how to change the tempo of a track?

    ok so what im trying to accomplish is im trying to modify a tracks bpm or pitch shift i guess... i want to conform my tracks to a specific bpm. what do i need and what would be the easiest way to accomplish this?

    You weren't exactly clear, LOL.

    Use a program that allows you to change pitch/length. For PC I used to use Sony Sound Forge. For Mac, Sound Studio does me just fine, though there are numerous other more feature-rich products out there.

    warp the track in ableton, adjust the tempo, and add any number of instances of the track on different channels .. add different eq settings to the track in different channels ... add filters.. add sounds of your dog panting after a hard run... add phase inverted low frequency basslines generated from the original material pitch shifted twenty four degrees. .. mix down and bounce to new track. Use the handy dandy edit button.

    yeah man, Ableton is what you need

    it allows you to do all sorts of amazing tings to the tempo and/or pitch of a track

    Ive never had LE. ableton definately allows for some heavy manipulations.
