Sorry in advance for my very newbie question

I am a NI Komplete user; I would like to use my Komplete Kontrol application (ho hardware, just the software application) to navigate between all the thousand of presets of the different NI software, then choose one and import it in my DAW, actually a Cubase11 istance, in a new track, may be drag and drop or whatever.

Is there any way to do it? I can't understand.

Thank you very much to any person who will give me some suggestions.

You open Kontrol in your DAW as a plugin, no need to drag anything, it should just work. I don't use Cubase, but I'm sure others can fill in details if needed

So this means that I will have to open all the new tracks with Kontrol, then choose specific sound
not anymore using single NI applications
of course this if i will not build my own patches or samples

    correct?
thank you very much for your answer

Yes. Probably worth doing some reading of the manual or watching a YT vid on how it all works but you load an instance of the KK plug-in on a track and then select the preset to load for that instance.

actually creating an instrument track pointing to a KK instance and then choosing a sound from the inside is the way i am working

I have read the manual, and believe or not i have used the "search" option too, this in the NI forum, in the manual, on google in general, on youtube
and yes, i have seen several videos on youtube, even the most part is related to hardware keyboard usage and just sometime about DAW integration more than on the software itself

but anyway it was hard to me to believe that to use KK i more or less have to stop using all the other instruments, at least as single tools and not as something embedded in the KK container, so i was asking to understand if it was me or really there is not another way.

Thank you for your useful answer.

Well you don't have to do that. Ity comes down to what you want to do. If you want to use KK as a way to find sounds, load them and have the controls mapped to your keyboard all in a single process then you load a KK instance on a track. If none of the above is required you can still use instruments the traditional way and then MIDI map to them as you would any keyboard.

But typically, users will simply have every track with a KK instance and load instruments through there.
