    Hey ya'll,

I'm sorry that this question is probably very basic, but what's the easiest way to dump an arranged Maschine project into Logic? I'm fairly new to Maschine, and I am very new to Logic. Most everything I've found has told me how to drag and drop individual patterns and groups into Logic tracks. This is not what I want. I've already arranged my song in Maschine, and all I want to do is dump the project into a stereo track in Logic for mastering. Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated!

export the maschine project as an audio file.

search export in your manual if you haven't figured it out.

Or just load Maschine as a stereo plugin within Logic. Open the project as normal. Done.
Export as audio like Widowmaker suggested is your best bet.

I do this with a lot of my software including Maschine and Reason. Output them as waves, then load them into Logic Studio for final automation and mastering. Means you can save them as MP3s also if you wish.

Thanks for your help, everybody. I have definitely read the manual, and exporting audio was one of the first things I learned to do. However - and just to clarify, I'm actually new to computer-based recording in general - my concern was that I would lose some quality in the process. My thought was that my best quality would come from recording the project live into Logic via the plug-in, but I was having problems getting that to work. Exporting sounds like the easier option, but would I be losing any quality? Should I be exporting the project as a 24 bit file? Thanks again for your help!

Yep. Definitely 24-bits with no dither. There shouldn't be any noticeable difference in quality between the audio files you export from Maschine and what you would get from Maschine used as a plugin within Logic.

Thanks man! One more question: does it matter whether or not I normalize? In other words, will that affect the quality?

I know these are noob questions, but I've been recording on a hard disk unit for 15 years! This is all new to me :S

Usually it makes things louder. I wouldn't normalize if you plan to do any kind of mixing in Logic after you export from Maschine.

    Don't normalize when you export.

BTW, Can you load the plugin within Logic? If so, just open the project you made from Maschines browser as per normal. No exporting required etc.

Make sure your logic teMplate is 24 bit if you export @ 24 bit AS WELL
