    hi everyone ...

i am trying to work on old Cubase projects which i made a couple of years ago and i'm running into a big problem. Most of these old projects were done with old versions of plugins who since changed their name/version and this is making it impossible for me to work on them. The main problem is with Native Instrument VSTi's which i have used for many years the new versions are not recognized as the same plugin.

The biggest problem is NI Kore which i used heavily for all my synths, at the time i used Kore 1 but now i use Kore 2 which essentially is the same plug but i can't just reload Kore 2 instead of Kore 1 because i don't know which presets i used. In the VST Instruments panel i only see '! Kore !' and in the track inspector i see sth like 'Missing 11907141' the numbers are the same on every track with a missing plugin so i'm wondering what the numbers mean ?

But I also have this problem with standalone versions of B4

The stupid thing is that the new versions have exactly the same presets in there so if only i knew which ones i used at the time i could just load the new versions and start again from there ...

Is there any way to find out which presets i used in these older version ? I tried opening up the .cpr file in a text editor but couldn't find anything in there ...

the hardcore option i'll eventually have to go through is to install a legacy system on a spare computer running an old OS with the old versions of the plugins, but for the moment this is not an option since i'm on the road ... but i desperately need to work on a couple of tracks for a release ...

    any ideas ?

btw ... i can't install K1 on this system since i don't have the install DVD with me
