I bought a Maschine+ a couple of month ago, and i want to know, how to get some Kontakt 5 Instruments on it. I have some nice Vocal instruments for Kontakt 5 and i think it would be great to use them on Maschine+ !
Is that possible, and if yes how to do it ?

    • Make sure the Kontakt version they are saved is older than what's on Maschine Plus. Usually not an issue.
    • Make sure the instrument is saved with colocated sample folder. Most instruments on something like https://www.pianobook.co.uk/ are saved correctly. You can always re save using Kontakt > Save as.
    • Put the instruments in SD Card > Native Instruments > Maschine 2 > Sounds . They can be in a sub folder
This works for Massive, Kontakt, some Reaktor stuff, FM8

Also if anyone at Native Instruments is listening, people don't know about this. You guys have an awesome eco system here, crippled by lack of tutorials and information

The 3rd party instruments I have only allow me to save as an .nki without the sample folder. But I signed up for the pianobook website to test one of their instruments and it did indeed work :)
I guess any .nki instruments with licensing restrictions (ie; all my expensive fancy instruments) wont work for this method. Although I suppose I could re-sample them with an auto sampler, then recreate the sampler instrument in Kontakt manually. Kind of a lot of work, but if theres an instrument I really want on the Maschine+ I guess it is at least doable !
