    Hi
I have recently purchased 2 products - Punk Bass and Soundiron's Lakeside Organ.
Lakeside Organ will ONLY run in Kontakt full version, as I found out to my surprise only AFTER I had completed the purchase. So I am stuck.
Soundiron tells me I can get a rebate or voucher from Native Instruments which will reduce the 449.00 $ ticket for Kontakt - but HOW and WHERE ?

    Can anybody help ?

We currently don't have any offers on Kontakt 6 and the crossgrade license would only apply if you own instruments compatible with our Player.

Yes... many companies make virtual instruments compatible and/or designed for Kontakt and Kontakt "player" (latter which is free).
And it's not always clear or as in my case I got confused, didn't pay sufficient attention when I purchased Soundiron "Lakeside Organ" !
I also purchased PUNK BASS recently, which will play in Kontakt Player.... but Soundiron Lakeside Organ NOT (!!!!!).
So Soundiron asked me to get a rebate or voucher or whatever from somewhere, maybe from NI ?
As you can imagine, my frustration is deep - paid and own a product which I cannot use unless I get Kontakt 6 (full version).
Oh - and Soundiron will NOOOOOT refund me (!!) - "you should have read the technical specs before buying..." -That's actually what they said.. that is hard core....
So do you know how I can get Kontakt 6 for 99.00 $ - which is my current budget available to me...

Turns out PUNK BASS qualified as a crossgrade product.... I just purchased Kontakt 6 for 279.00 $ --- way over my budget but better than 449.$
Overall I think this is all a huge scam and a rip-off and goes under the category of "Blackmail".

It's clearly advertised on specification pages which instruments requires the Full Version. I have checked the Soundiron page for this instrument and it's stated 5 times that you need the FULL retail versions. You can also find all the information about Player vs Full version on our website: https://www.native-instruments.com/...takt-6-player/kontakt-6-player-vs.-kontakt-6/

I know it hurts like a pain in the arse if it hits you but you really have to read the specs before you buy something.

Late response, I know, but... if you happen to live in Europe then you may have had some other options as well. If I recall correctly then EU citizens have a right to go back on an online purchase within 14 days. Of course, good luck to you trying to convince a US company to comply with this but who knows...

Despite my 'dislike' I can honestly understand your frustration. But on the positive side you now have one heck of a sampling environment. Better yet: Kontakt itself also includes several instruments of its own so you get a lot more material in return. There's also something to say about that I think.
