    Hi Everyone,

I have two sound cards in my computer (Creative Audigy and Realtek HD - both mediocre cards) but I want to connect my speakers to one and my headphone to the other one.

But my problem is that I can only use one of them in Traktor software, is there a method to do this?

Because I want to listen to the track that is going to be played while the other track is running on the speaker. I want to listen to it with my headphones.

Thanks, but what would someone normally do for this purpose?

I think this is a very basic feature of DJing: to have two audio channels (one for speakers and one for headphones).

Why don't you use your Audigy card ASIO driver ? This soundcard is 5.1 channel I think

normally you would use a multichannel soundcard.

Thanks, now I have to look for a non-expensive one. Mine says that it is multichannel but it's 5.1 not 2 separate stereo.

I would really love to see multi- sound card support soon in TP.
Example: Audio 4 users could start with 2 outs and expand to 4 in time..

When you put the card into 5.1 mode you will have 'front & rear' or similar in the audio output section....like this ->

It even works great with your Realtek HD as long as you have Front and Rear outputs (and plugs)

Well first, thanks to all for your helps.
I tried realtek HD with 4CH, I can hear the monitor channel through the back speakers (my headphone) but the main deck comes from all of the 4 channels.

In this case (picture) Deck B comes through both Headphone and speakers but Deck A comes only from Headphone so headphone hears a mix of the sounds. I don't know, is this how it's supposed to work or not.

So using 2 cards is not possible?

I would like to use my onboard card for pre listening and use all the outs for the 4 decks on the external card...

    Cheers

Well I had to install some software for the soundcard to be able to control the channels and after that TSP doesn't work with sound blaster card at all. But no big deal cause I have the realtek working.

Yes, I tried, but I didn't read the whole thing, I looked for it and couldn't find it. I don't think anywhere in there says put your sound card into 4 channel mode.
