Hey guys I was wondering if there was a way to hide your tracks from being seen while djing? Almost making them not there or invisible?

Imitation is the highest form flattery. In this day and age with tracks being so easily identified and or copied, me thinks you need to get over yourself and just DJ like a madman. Make the performance so devastatingly good that its the reason that people come back over and over, not because you think you've got tunes no one else does.... coz you don't. Chop the tunes up like crazy and twist the FX like a maniac.

If the only thing you have that keeps you ahead is to keep your tracks secret, you're doing it wrong.

Kick everybody out of the DJ booth. I was DJ'ing a Greek Night in another city... the local Greek DJ comes into the booth and he started writing down my set list off the screen. I let it go when he wrote down "a few songs thet he liked". Then he was getting annoying and literally reading over my shoulder. I walked out of the booth and to the owner and threatened to walk out mid set if he didn't leave the DJ booth. Needless to say he didn't set foot in the booth the rest of the night but got all jealous when I had a bunch of girls dancing in the booth with me.

You can choose to display (or not) whatever tags you like in the preferences.

A smartphone can ID a song in less than 10 seconds. Why even bother?

uhhhh... If you're a DJ, and Shazam or any other music tagging app can recognize what you're playing with any frequency... Your tracks being stolen is the least of your problems.

    Yes.
it took this many posts for someone to actually tell him? come on guys...

I honestly wouldn't mind people writing down my track list. If they blow your whole act by writing down the 10 visible tracks on the screen you need to improve. Seriously.

If Madonna calls... I'm not here right now.

Not that I care if he writes down my songs... But he "opened" for me and was playing stuff that was a good 4 or 5 years old. He wanted to write down the songs so he can go get them himself and the venue won't have to spend $3000 to hire me the next month.

    Vox see post # 13
You could have told him yourself right away... Oh wait you were in a time out for having a potty mouth ;)

make a set selection; copy and rename the files to 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 etc etc and load the "number" files onto the deck.. after set - delete files..
