how to import itunes playlist to traktor playlists

like a lot of people I much prefer itunes organisation.

I've tried and searched but can't find a way to import itunes playlist to traktor. I found a video on youtube which involved a drag and drop but this didn't work. I right click and access the import playlist button but it's won't work.

Using Traktor 2.03 and Itunes Mac 10.58

Works fine for me with the same versions. My MO is click the itunes icon within Traktor's main search window when I first open Traktor. Wait for it to scan my itunes(takes about a minute or so for me) Then I right click on whichever playlist I created in itunes and select import to playlists. Now the playlist appears in Traktor's playlist folder, I load and beatgrid and lock each track from the newly imported playlist. Then go back to itunes and play each track within itunes in that playlist, that way it updates any new metadata that Traktor has written to the audio file.

 

sadly I'd die just to be able to create one playlist. at the mo it's a completely worthless piece of garbage

 

I am having the same issue, Just transfered to a new lappy.... everything is analyzed when i pull to collection folder but if try and play from my itunes playlist i get errors... I pulled all music from my last laptop which I went from 1.2.7 to 2.0.3 and everything worked from my itunes playlists no prob.... It's killin me, been try'n for 2 days to resolve this.... Also looks like may have lost all cue points as well....any help would be great...

 

traktor is a joke. totally anti mac, I'm out of it.

 

Solved...

Ok so my problem turned out to have nothing to do with Traktor.... I had a friend help me out and the problem was with my new laptop... Because all the information was being pulled from a different comp the new machine didn't reconize the path names, So the Permissions on the new machine had to be set to "Select All" so it would read all files... Now everything is working properly in Traktor, cue points are all in tack (even though i have to tweak all of them)... But thats much better than creating all new playlists n folders n sh*t....

 

around 50% of all traktor users are mac users, so i doubt your posting is based on any objectivity.
