How to insert fills?

strangely now after working with maschine for sometime i actually have adjusted to the current setup. i work with 4 bars so i can maintain variation easily. If i want to record something longer say a 16 bar sequence I just load up 4x4 bars and then loop the section and play over top of it. if i want variation, i just copy the 4 bar pattern and modify it. it might not be ideal but it works and i don't really even think about it anymore. with that said, i still completely welcome the updates to the sequencer.

my new gripe however is the god awful automation. it's literally so broken and wonky and doing anything with it is a struggle it works for recording automation from controllers but when it comes to the nitty gritty micro editing when you want to fine tune something it's a freaking mess. later in the song when i adjust something in automation only to find that it somehow magically screwed up a part in the beginning of the song etc. etc. I WANT LINEAR and CURVES not this weird ass point to point with planes between.... rant over.

 

Same here, not the ideal way of working but it's a way nonetheless..
