How to integrate Transport on Kontrol A49 with Cubase

The exact feature set and target date of the next releases aren't confirmed yet, but as soon as we have, we will update the sticky threads on here.

The latest firmware for A-Series keyboards has four separate pages of CCs:

Page 1: CC 14 - 21
Page 2: CC 22 - 29
Page 3: CC 102 - 109
Page 4: CC 110 - 117

I have the very same problem described here, I've been through all the tutorials and pages on this website that i can find, i'm not even getting transport buttons working on komplete kontrol although in saying that i can change the plugin using the dial under the plugin button, I'm wondering if it's a hardware fault or not and considering sending it back, I've also tried to integrate it with ableton suite 9 with no luck.

Can someone please help me troubleshoot ?I found the tutorials on this webpage confusing and i kept going round in circles.

Is it possibel now with KK 2.13 to get transport controls to work with Cubase Elements?
Dont know how to setup it?

 

Yes now it works - you add a mackie control device in cubase midi settings and select A49 daw as in and out.

So in how far does the Cubase integration actually not work yet? Can I use everything on the Controller except for the transport controls or is something else not integrated yet, either?

 

You have transport controls, ad depending on what you have selected on screen you can select channels and aidio and midi objects.

Yes, normal MIDI mode: You can already use it as normal MIDI-Keyboard, and the 8 rotary encoders you can use perfectly for Cubase Quick Controls to tweak any parameter on any VST instrument or effect from the hardware.

And in the end I think is not that important to have Play, Rec, etc on the KK A49 because many people use the Cubase keyboard shortcuts for that purpose.

Yes that on top I also use it that way for quick controls - but best would be if we could use every knob and encoder in midi mode also the push encoder..... a dream.

So, this quote from NI's website is from January. As far as I'm aware there's still no update to make Transport buttons work.

WTF?! How'd you do that? I have both latest firmware for the keyboard and latest KK software, but my transport buttons are still dead. How did you set this up?
