    Hello,
I doubt I am the only to express his surprise... But really, one can't interrupt Access whence it's started..
Ok, My sad story. I installed Access tonight on an old Win7 devoted to music. There was one or two strange problems, but on the end I have what I want (KOntakt, Reaper, Guitar Rig)
For kontakt , 8 or 10 yrs ago, I bought the BOX version in 5 cd, and decided to use it for the sake of going a bit quicker because I live in the country with a difficult Adsl service. .. But, once installed, Service center appeared letting know it could not connect. So, I had to go back again to Access. And there -of course- Access let me know I had to install 19 vsti and that I could not interrupt it as long as it's not finished ? So, here I am with a useless disc installation, and asking if someone knows a clean way to close Access, because I don't give a f...k installing all the others NI 16 vst-i 's now? I would prefer not force it via the Control Panel. Some peoples on this forum mention trouble with that. Otherwise, does Native Instruments has not at all consideration for ecology developping so costly products in terms of electricity ? I probably missed something?,

Mhh, so normally you can install everything from CD you want, then uninstall the old service center. Then install native access and you log in, go to the tab where all already installed apps are shown and update them maybe. In my case native access never starts to update or install apps without asking for, i always have to confirm. So your native access starts and right on it downloads apps? You can press control + alt + delete open task manager and stop native access task if you need to.

Hello Uwe, thanks for getting my issue. But since then I have other news. Access just stopped just like that. More than I asked. In fact previously I had the behavior you mentionned, Access without my intervention would substitute to Service Center. But then it would stop in its dowloading ("SelfHelperUpdateTool stopped working"). Then I reinstalled the win7 OS from zero but this time Windows Update stopped nearly immediately ; Access functionned . And this time, I wanted to close it for a while -that was my worry here-but it's impossible obviously except using what I call a "forced interruption" like the one you describe. But some peoples had trouble with that.
Then access went down again. Just disappear in the blue.
Ok no big issue, I would have liked a computer only for guitar, but my computer has a problem somewhere, and it would be too expensive to repair it. I have another one which I use for everything, an i7 and that will do the trick. Thanks for your time.

Ok - if you have some time you could try a fresh install of the win 7 system. My experience with win 7 is that you have to do that sometimes. Maybe prepare all drivers before a new install, just check the mainboard and this way you know the drivers you need and so on.
