How to manual punch in loops or adjust to create 3 or 5 beat loops?

    I have Traktor Pro 3, 2x X1 Mk2, and an F1 (Which I haven't been using much).

I would like to create loops of unusual sizes - eg 3, 5, 6, 7 beats long using the hardware and without disrupting existing workflow too much.

I can create loops that are 1 bar, 2 bars etc but when I use the X1s I can only double/half the loop size using the encoders.

In the software, it is possible to punch the IN and OUT of the loop, but this doesn't seem to be mapped on the hardware.

I presume internally, there is a way to decrease and increase the size of the loop by 1beat too.

Has anybody mapped either the punch in/out or increasing/decreasing of loop sizes?

Ideally what I would love, is a button combo on that allows me to increase or decrease the size of an existing loop by 1 beat. Eg, I press a button on the F1 (or some other midi controller) and then when I adjust the loop size on my X1s it adjusts by 1 beat, rather than *2 or /2.

Can anyone suggest a way to do map this? Is it possible to create a button that changes the in-built behaviour of the X1?

    Thanks, Tom
