    Hi all,

I have a long 808 sample key mapped in BATTERY4. I want to be able to mute the note when I hit an empty cell. I have both the 808 and the empty cell in the same Voice Group but it's not working.

    Any tips?

    Thanks in advance

This is probably already in 100 threads but did you set the number of voices to 1?

Also instead of "choking" the sound you could turn on your ADSR and turn all the knobs down except the sustain, which you would turn all the way up. This way the sound will only play the length of the MIDI note. Cheers.

Yeah, the voices were set to one and everything. I know Battery4 pretty good so it surprised me that it didn't just work.

Anyways, I figured it out. I guess Battery won't mute a sustained cell if the cell you're trying to trigger the mute with is empty. What I did was load a hi hat on the mute trigger cell and turn the volume all the way down, then set the voices and other settings accordingly.

Oh yeah you have to load a sample! Left out that one important bit. This is also really useful if you want to stop a reverse sweep or build sound right before a new measure or drop.
