    Hello there!

I would like to load the free Surge VST into Komplete Kontrol.
I see online that some people seem to have done that, but I can't seem to locate the information how to load it into KK in the first place.
I don't care about preset surfing or background pictures, just want to control Surge over KK with my M32.

Can someone tell me the most basic and easy way to load a VST that is not showing up in the list by itself?

Thanks for answering, but I already knew that part. :)

The problem is Surge doesn't show up in that list after scanning, so I was hoping there would be some way to add it to the list manually.

    Is it 64 bit?

Ohh it's only vst3 so it's not supported yet by komplete kontrol, you would have to use a vst3 to vst wrapper to open and use it. If something like that exists but i would guess so.

    Yes, it's 64 bit VST3.

It seems to be one of the plugins KK doesn't know. Odin 2 is another example. Both are free and open source, which seems to be why they are not included, because for official support there would have to be a legal entity signing something apparently.

I was hoping there would be some way to include them manually anyway.

... and I thought VST3 was now supported, at least Super 8 and the new Kontakt VST3 show up in the list and are running fine.

Only a couple of NI plugins suppoort VST3 as they are still developing and testing VST3 support for KK and Maschine so no 3rd party plugins work with VST3 yet and NI is known for being rather sloooooow at developing new features so i'd make a pot of coffee and grab a good book and settle in for a decent wait as we have all been doing for 4 years now...
