    Hi all,

I am new to Reaktor and have a few questions, if you have the patience:

    1) How do I load a sample and loop it? The only way I could manage to do was to create an instrument, place a sampler into it and trigger the sample via the keyboard. I wonder if I can play the sample without a Midi-in (notepitch for ex.) input.

    2) I have plugged my guitar from the line-in into the Reaktor. The sound I hear through my speakers has a certain latency. How can I avoid that latency? There is also certain amount of hissing sound.

    Thanks.

    Welcome to the forum :)

    1) see picture for an example of a Button triggering the sample at Pitch 60 (the pitch it was sampled at). note Loop is On in the Sample Map Editor.

    2) Latency has to do with your Computer and the Sound Card that you use, and also the settings in your Reaktor Audio MIDI Settings. you can reduce the latency at the cost of using more CPU. are you using a Mac or PC? there will always be hiss from a guitar, but again, this depends on your Soundcard and the quality of the Audio to Digital converters.
