Im able to get VSTs into Maschine 2.4 for use with my Maschine Studio (Not quite sure if im doing it right tho) Anyhow, i DL the AU version from KVRs free plugins and i add it to the mac (components/au folder) but when rescanning plugins on maschine still nothing appears...Please help Thanks BTW im on Mac 10.9.4 and Maschine 2.4

If you have put them in the component folder (No sub folders) and they still don't work, they may be old and just not working anymore (32vs64 and so on)
If you link to the developers sites i will download and test them this end, see if they work ;)

Im new to VSTs and AUs so i was experimenting with some of the free KVR plugins- heres one of the plugins i tried- i was able to pull up the VST no prob, but i wanna be able to adjust the Plug In with my maschine studio and s49 if possible so thats why i need the AUs to work

I will test it now, but for the record, VST works much better in Maschine than AU, I have not found one AU that also has VST that works better than its corresponding VST ;)

I suspect that the issue is a Maize compiling issue (The plugin is made with Maize)
The AU just shows as AU and no other name in the plugin list, which gives some clues haha

Can i control vst knobs and settings from the maschine studio or s49 hardware? i can control the vst with my mouse n keyboard but i want to be able to control from the hardware , i dont see any options on the studio to control vst parameters...but again this is all new to me,including the studio (im quite more well seasoned on the studio now maybe 50% understanding)

NI plugins are VST (AU too but the VST are recommended for extended support), the NI plugin extensions .NKSF are for VST not AU, VST always work better in Kontrol and Maschine in my exerience, you can map any controls you want on a VST as long as they are automatable, in fact VST will work better because VST plugins feedback better to the host, for correct control readouts.
Just search for control mapping or such.

Macros are different to mapping the controls, Macros are used for mapping controls of the entire plugin chain, normal mapping is just setting up the default mapping, Maschines/Kontrols default mapping of most plugins is normally utter garbage unless they are nksf native (ANd to be honest the couple of nksf native plugins i have seen have been pretty bad) I set up all my plugins myself, if a plugin cant be mapped properly i either get rid or find a replacement (In Maschine) a badly mapped plugin is more than it is worth.
Here is a great example, in this gif (Ignore the plugin UI glitches, they are caused by the capture software) you will see the default mapping for MJUC, now this mapping can actually never ever be useful, because when you change modes in MJUC it has different controls.
So if you check out my mapping, i have three different map set ups for the three different modes

Having a similar issue. How do I use drumazon as a playable instrument inside maschine studio and route separate channels onto different pads and play and record all on my studio? Is it even possible.
Bit of a newbie so any tips would be welcome.

I don't have Drumazon to set you up a group, but yes it is possible, it is just a case of routing audio and routing MIDI

Thanks Tooshka. Bit of a newbie. Keep having teething problems on external plugins inside Maschine. I know I'm not getting the best out of drumazon ....

Unfortunately i sold off Drumazon when the Maschine drum synths came out, they are simply much better than Drumazon for me personally, Hopefully at some point they will float the UIs
