How To record thru Midi Out

Hi Guys..

Im new to maschine but been producing for the last few years on Fl Studios.

I have connect my Novation Synth to maschine as a Midi Out but the problem is i CANNOT RECORD THE SOUNDs.

Is there somthin im missing.

What do you mean you can't record the sounds? Which sounds are you trying to record and how? Most likely you already know this, but MIDI does not make sounds, MIDI is data -- just in case that wasn't clear. So, I assume you're referring to the audio output of either your Novation Synth (which you have not denoted is virtual or hardware) or the output of Maschine. What kind of audio interface, sound card, and OS are you using? Is Maschine working stand-alone or as a plug-in, and if the latter, which DAW? Do, clarify.

 

you have to turn the midi out on in maschine, and then pick a sound and change the sound source to midi out, pick the channel, make sure it matches the channel you want to record on your synth

so you have to tell maschine to send the midi out to your synth

Hi Guys thanks for helping me out.

I want to use the onboard sounds on the synth. What connections then would or do i need another application to run the on board sounds.

I dont want to use the sounds on maschine i want it coming from the synth.

Im just using maschine as a stand alone which now i connected the synth.

The sounds are there and when i record it the synth sounds are there its just wen i export it only the drums and percusion sound comes out not the synth.

there's no way to export the sounds from the synth in Maschine because the sounds are not in Maschine they are in the synth

you need to record the audio into something else or record it into Maschine

all you're doing is sending midi to the synth, which just tells it what to play, no audio data from the synth is saved in Maschine

Whats the best programme to record the synths and to sync it with maschine so it will sound dope

 

there is no best, you need a way to capture your audio from the synth into your computer. What program you use is up to you

logic, reaper, ableton live, sonar, Record...there's tons of programs that record audio.
