How to remove tags?

How do you remove a tag? I messed up a bit with adding new tags and I'd like to remove them. Or change their names of possible.

 

i think you can do this with right-clicking (control -click on a Mac) on the tag in the Browser. maybe you get a pop-up with an option?

I was able to remove the tag in the main browser, but it was still there in the edit area. Now that I have a fresh installation on a new PC, I don't want to mess up again. When I de-installed and re-installed Maschine on my old PC, the tag was still there, so there must be a file somewhere that stores the tags. If I know which file it is, I could make a back-up copy before I start "experimenting" again.

 

these tags can be like ghosts in the Maschine (sorry). even with supposedly clean installs, they would still rase their ugly heads.

Did you try rescanning your user content after you deleted the tags?

They'd be stored in your maschinedb. On XP (turn on show hidden files and folders):

C:\Documents and Settings\*your user account*\Local Settings\Application Data\Native Instruments\Maschine

I'm not a Mac user, so I couldbn't say- it's probably in Application Support, though.

Why not use the finder?

It's in Users/(whatever you've named it)/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Maschine

I've opened it up and see the custom bank name that I like to remove but am hesitant to do so as it's stuck in the midst of a bunch of code looking text.

This needs to be editable from the browser.

I guess I'll try to post a feature request? Though I'm not sure this is really a feature.
