I have the standalone working fine, but I am completely flummoxed about how to route audio into Vokator when using it as a DXi or VST plugin. I have a MOTU 2408 mk 2, and I am familiar with busses, returns, sends, auxes, etc. There does not seem to be any control within Vokator to say WHAT from the MOTU feeds into the "Live" inputs on A and B, so I get no sound. The other odd thing is that the "R" for record on the Audio channel containing the Vokator plugin doesn't exist. I need to route both audio and midi to the Vokator Channel Strip. I tried it as an FX plugin on an Audio channel, and no go?

I'm a systems analyst by day and been using computers and softsynths to engineer tracks for years, but these NI interfaces have me feeling like an idiot, even after poring through the manuals--I can't get them do do anything I want.

there are instrux on how to route audio to vokator in various sequencers including sonar at the beginning of the pdf version of the manual

the basic principle in each case is that you make vokator an insert effect and send signals A and B respectively into its left and right channels

i think if you hit ALT-3 it takes you to the mixer view, go yo the aux 1 and right click and insert vokator.

then take the channels you wish to route through vok and click the aux 1 channel on those tracks- if you pan them right and left (on the aux send) you then have the noise you chose going into the vokator a and b inputs.
