Can someone PLEASE tell me why there's no way to sort banks or presets in alphabetical order in Guitar Rig 3? If I'm missing something and you actually can, please fill me in.

From what I can tell, the only way to sort banks is to close Guitar Rig and then delete the BankSelectOrder.pm file in the sound banks folder. As far as sorting the presets within the banks, the only way I can see to do it is manually by drag and drop. This is completely insane. Why was this option not built into the software? I mean really, how hard would it have been to add a "sort by name" option into the sound and bank menu drop down menus?

The way things are structured currently, if you have more than a couple presets within a bank, it quickly becomes hard to find what you're looking for.

I think if you go to your banks folder and "mouse 2", choose "arrange by name", then, delete bankselectorder.pm, then, start GR it should show your banks in alphabetical order.

You can also make other folders. Max banks per folder is around 134 crash free. More than that per folder and GR3 will not start-up properly the next time and you'll have to delete bankselectorder.pm each time you want to use GR until you bring the banks back down.

Thanks for the reply but like I already said, I know that you can sort the banks by deleting the bankselectorder.pm file. The main problem is not being able to sort the presets within the banks. The only way to sort the presets within the banks is manually by drag and drop.

There should have been a sort option built into the software for BOTH the banks AND presets. At least you can force the software to sort the banks by deleting the bankselectorder.pm file, but users shouldn't have to go digging through folders and deleting files just to so a simple sort.
