how to start recording from the exactly beginning of the track

    I saw a lot videos where track writing start exactrly from the begging, and only when producer push on the pads. (Play+Record button holded, and sound metronome, but slider (line) not running). How to set it up? I always have it running. Really hard to write track exactly from the beggining
